I redesigned the cover of "Designing with Type: The Essential Guide to Typography" to create a more visually interesting composition. The background of jumbled letters piled on top of each other was inspired by the children's book Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, in which letters fall out of a tree. I called out typographical anatomy by highlighting the letter to draw attention to the part of the letter I was naming.
